Ruben Tejada’s weekend a near-perfect ‘10’
Today, Ruben Tejada became the first Met since Edgardo Alfonzo 12 years ago, also in Denver, to have 10 hits in a three-game series.
After a 10-for-17 weekend, he’s now hitting .310, 105 points higher than his predecessor.
Said Tejada: “I concentrated everything to the right. I’m taking a lot of pitches and making contact to right field now. I feel really good now. It was a great series for me, a great series for the team. We have to keep playing like that.”
