David Wright withdraws from the World Baseball Classic. He was diagnosed with a moderate strain of the intercostal muscle on his left side. Healing time may take 3-5 days or he may begin the start of the season on the DL.

So far, David Wright (Captain America) is hitting .438 with a .526 OBP and 10 RBI in the World Baseball Classic for Team USA.

With his 5 RBI on Tuesday evening against Team Puerto Rico, he tied Ken Griffey Jr. (Team USA, 2006) and Seung Yeop Lee (Team Korea, 2006) for the most RBI in a WBC.
